The way to get motivated about a new fitness routine is to get someone else to do it with you, a friend you're comfortable being sweaty in front of. Play tennis on Monday or, if you're feeling ambitious, go for a long jog. Exercise keeps you thinking clearly. On Tuesday and Wednesday, you're going to need as much exercise as possible. They are strange, passionate days. By Thursday and Friday, as much as you might want to wind down the workweek doing something social, being on your own will be more rewarding. Same goes for the weekend.
